The Chatham Saw Mill, one of the oldest and largest wood mill in Asia. Built on a tiny island, is connected to Port Blair by bridge. It is a store – base of timbers like Padauk, Gurjan, Marble, Satinwood etc. Now logging in the mill is banned and most of wood is imported from Malaysia, Myanmar and Thailand.

Samudrika Naval Marine Museum is a museum situated in Port Blair in India . The museum is run by the Indian Navy. The museum has five sections presenting history of Andaman Islands, Geographical information, people of Andaman, Archaeology and Marine life.

Elephanta Beach is approximately 20 minutes by boat from the Havelock Island dock. This destination offers beautiful white sand beach along with an amazing coral reef which starts at a depth less than a metre. The boat ride to Elephanta beach passing through the light house is amazing.

Limestone Cave

The lime stone caves, full of splendid stalagmites, stalactites and pillar rocks, remain one of the favourite tourist destinations. The trek to reach the caves is adventurous. The limestone caves remain largely unexplored and it is a unique experience. These caves are located about 50 minutes (by sea) away from Baratang Jetty.

Mud Volcano

A mud volcano is created by natural gases emitted by decaying organic matter underground. As the mud is pushed upwards by the gas, it deposits and hardens above ground. As more mud oozes out and spills over the edge it grows in size, gradually forming what you can see today - a miniature volcano with a rich, creamy mud crater at the top.
